SCRAPPER NEWS

To all friends, fans and fellow Global War survivalists, 2011 has delivered a heavy payload of attention and merit on the Scrapper camp. In terms of the international festival film circuit, it began with Slamdance, that cinematic showcase for the edgy if not essential which premiered Scrapper at the 2011 festival in Park City, Utah.  To truly rock the screening Little Mules Productions jetted in one of our scrappers, Randy, who left Niland last year for Tacoma, WA. His 110-octane energy and bombastic nature at the subsequent film screener Q&A brought the house down.

The next day the Scrapper creative team—minus one—interviewed with Park City television (included in this blog’s Press/Media section). Also check out the French television link from journalist/filmmaker Claude Budin-Juteau. The latter covered Scrapper in his reportage on the 2011 Sundance/Slamdance Film Festival for his French print/online audience.

Moving forward, subsequent to its selection and screenings at The Durango Independent Film Festival, Scrapper garnered its first award, The Royal Reel at The Canadian International Film Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Soon after, with scrapper Randy again representing, Scrapper took home the Best Documentary Award at the Seattle True Independent Film Festival (or STIFF) in early June.

Shortly thereafter, the Brooklyn Film Festival bestowed on Scrapper their Spirit Award.

In regards to distribution, our undisclosed, camouflage netted camp has been targeted by numerous Persons of Interest. To quote the sage scrapper Randy, "Let it be a safe and prosperous trip."

Thanks again to all of you who have brought the love and supported us. Bombs aweigh.

  1. I was lucky enough to see this film at the Roxy in San Francisco. Others are not so fortunate. Where is this showing for the next six months?

Given the confusion created by the Roger Ebert favorite 'Scrappers' and what appears to be a trailer for the foney British version of 'Scrapper' on still on YouTube, this movie is almost impossible to find and watch; even if you have already seen it once and know what it is.
